Dr. Uzma Sohail is a dedicated and compassionate Family Physician committed to providing comprehensive, patient-focused care. She completed her medical degree at Dow Medical College (2002) and holds Certification in Family Medicine (CCFP) through the College of Family Physicians of Canada.

Before joining Emerald Caremax, Dr. Sohail spent three years practising Family Medicine in the United Kingdom, gaining extensive experience in primary care. She also completed one year of specialized Psychiatry training, enhancing her ability to support patients with anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and other mental health concerns.

Dr. Sohail has a strong clinical interest in Women’s Health and Prenatal Follow-Up, offering thorough and compassionate care throughout pregnancy. She provides routine prenatal visits, screening tests, health monitoring, counselling, and timely referrals to obstetrics when required. Her warm, attentive approach ensures expectant mothers receive safe, supportive, and evidence-based care at every stage.

With her combined background in family medicine and psychiatry, Dr. Sohail offers a holistic approach to patient well-being—caring for both physical and emotional health. She welcomes patients of all ages and is passionate about preventive care, chronic disease management, reproductive health, mental health, and prenatal support.

To better serve our diverse community, Dr. Sohail is fluent in English, Hindi, and Urdu, helping patients feel understood and supported in their preferred language.

Dr. Sohail has joined Emerald Caremax Medical Centre to support the growing healthcare needs of the Cambridge community and is currently welcoming new patients.
